Round 3 Snetterton (F3/GT)
Date 19th/20th April 2003
Another very successful weekend, the Altered Image Coachworks team has consolidated Kelly's 2nd place in the championship standings.
Starting from the front row of the grid as he has done on every occasion this season and the only driver to have done so, Kelly took the initiative at the start but was unable to get away from the rest of the 20 cars pursuing pack.

Kelly settled into 2nd place and concentrated on preserving his tyres for the 15 lap race and made a charge for the win on the last 2 laps. Unfortunately he was unable to forge the win but another 2nd place will do for this round.
Meanwhile team mate Bob Humphries was carving his way through the field after problems in qualifying meant he started from 15th on the grid Bob eventually managed to climb up to 7th place therefore taking the Spax spectacular award for the most positions gained and a healthy purse as well.

Bob also managed to improve his qualifying time by some 3 seconds after Peter Vickers had carried out some vital setup work on Bobs car after qualifying. The team were particularly keen to show well this weekend because team manager Alan Rogers was out of the country (as he quite often does to avoid tax & extradition notices), and we proved that we are able to erect the awning without his direction. Having said that his leadership was missed (for amusement purposes).

Next we are off to Croft a favourite of Kelly's and a chance to meet up with some of our friends north of the border (Les & co.) lets hope its another good one.
