Round 8 Rockingham (F3/ GT)
Date 2nd - 3rd August

The teams visit to Rockingham was one of mixed fortunes in qualifying Kelly managed to put his car on the front row of the grid while Bob's first visit to the Indy Car Super Speedway Circuit saw him qualify in 12th place.

The 55,000 strong crowed were very vocal as the Mini Miglia cars roared away from the grid. Kelly dropped down to 3rd but soon managed to regain 2nd and set chasing the leader, but his efforts were to be in vain as Kelly noticed a vibration from the engine a tell tail sign of a crank shaft about to break so he eased off to save the engine and enable him to finish in 6th place.

Bob's progress was for better, he was gradually getting to grips with the technical Rockingham Circuit and again took the Spax spectacular award for the most places gained from his starting position. He eventually finished 7th behind Kelly to the delight of the crowd as his progress through the field had grabbed everyone's attention.

Kelly left Rockingham still leading the championship, but with the best 9 results from the 12 rounds this means Kelly needs to win the next 4 rounds to win the championship. The next round is at Thruxton near Andover, the fastest circuit in Brittan.

Look forward to seeing you all there!
