Kelly arrived at Brands Hatch needing to win the last three rounds to
win the championship. Qualifying went well and qualified second with
Robert qualifying in 13th place. Kelly started well and was applying
pressure to the leader, but on the fourth lap developed a puncture and
was caught by the chasing pack but somehow managed to bring the car home
in fourth place. This left Kelly unable to win the championship, but
second place was still to fight for.
Robert battled away in midfield and achieved eighth place in both races,
this leaves Robert with a realistic chance of finishing in the top ten
of the championship.
In the second race Kelly managed to lead for the first half of the race,
but was in second place when the chequered flag dropped.
